  • Athlete Engagement

    • Holistic Approach to Transition and Development

The FINGERS TOUCH promotes the “total” development of athletes by engaging, developing and empowering them as they move forward through life.  Decision-making is critical both on and off the field. We create programming that centers on vital issues that aid with making the best choices. We target critical thinking skills that positions athletes to take full personal responsibility for their own growth and development across multiple areas of life.

We also assist existing programs with creating Learning Ecosystems that foster an environment which permits learners to immerse themselves in multiple outlets for educational engagement.

We prepare our clients for success by applying two basic approaches:

  1. Life Balance: Growth Through Life’s Opportunities and Challenges

  2. Effective Life Transitioning:  Staying One Step Ahead

Connection

1) How well does your staff connect and engage with the current generation of athletes? How well does your coaching staff connect to each other? We offer effective approaches to improve these connections and drive results. We identify traits and describe characteristics that will create opportunities for coaches to then design transformative experiences for athletes.  We work with teams to help you understand your athletes and each other better.

Communication

2) Are you open to exploring different teaching approaches as a coach? We take pride in offering coaches various methods to couple with their already proven techniques and strategies that will target increased learning.  We provide a systems approach that both harnesses the past and present yet sheds light on the capacity to adapt rapidly to the inevitable changes on the road ahead.  Application of proven coaching and teaching principles will position coaches to refine and rediscover ways to get their teams to grasp information and get things going.

Wellness

3) How do you recharge? Coaching is demanding.  Experience as a mental health professional aid us in understanding how to support the mental health and wellness of today's coaches.  Along with this, we have multiple years spent as a learning specialist for collegiate student-athletes.  All of this permits us to approach coach support and development with greater intentionality placed on achieving optimal performance.  So we continually ask, “what defines and supports effective coaching”?  This question is critical.
